Neville Goddard Lectures: “Bloodshed”

So those that I addressed—minus the one who left, he did not see the arm exposed— the others that I talked to who were still standing, they saw the arm exposed. So when the question is asked, “To whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?” Revealed to those, and then they would know, and then start their journey, asleep for awhile. For when you come into the world, you have to enter a tremendous depth of sleep, and you only begin to remember. It’s all a matter of remembering and remembering and remembering. So this lady who wrote me, “I remembered, I remembered the dream…and as I came out, the one thought that filled my mind was Neville. Well, I was thinking of Neville, and then the dream returned. The dream was ‘That man, that man Neville’ in the depths that seemed so far, far away and so long in time. And he was talking over and over again, on and on, about a father and a son. And I remembered I did not understand. I also remembered that I went to sleep. When I went to sleep that I do not remember, but I do remember I did go to sleep. Now that I am completely alert and awake, it all feels as though I were a puzzle, and now this night a piece of it has been found and put into its original place. And now it’s still night, she said, but the morning cannot be far.” But it isn’t far off…it isn’t.

But may I tell you, you can be anything you want to be. You want to be rich? You can be rich. You want to be famous? You can be famous. You can be anything you want to be in this world of Caesar if you apply the principle. The principle is simple: act as if it were true. Just imagine that things are as they would be were it true, and dare to walk the world just as though it were true. And if you do, it will be true. Wouldn’t make any difference what the world thinks, because God is in you. The arm has not yet been revealed as mighty power, doesn’t matter. Still assume the power is there, and by this mere assumption that things are as you desire them to be they’ll become a fact. They’ll all become fact, every one of them. Doesn’t really matter what the world will tell you. Don’t ask anyone anything. Just dare to assume, I am the lady, the gentleman that I would like to be, with the comforts, the securities that I would desire in this world. Dare to assume it. And may I tell you, in a way that you will not consciously know you will become it.

As you live by God’s law, then in God’s own time—he’s doing the work within you, which is simply molding you into his own likeness, so that you two become one, not two but one—when it’s a perfect likeness they fuse. Not until the likeness is perfect it cannot be. So he tries me in the furnaces of affliction for his own sake, for his own sake he does it. For how should my glory be given to another? Can’t give it to another; he has to give it to himself. So he fuses into the perfect likeness; for, I must be perfect as my Father in heaven is perfect, and when it’s a perfect image of himself, we aren’t two anymore. He’s cleaved to me and now we’re one. And then all that is told unfolds within us.
