Neville Goddard Lectures: “Kingdom of God: The One Body”
07 Nov Neville Goddard Lectures: “Kingdom of God: The One Body”

When one is called into the divine assembly and incorporated into the body of the risen Lord, he then is sent; and the purpose is to re-interpret the Christian mystery in terms of his own experience and its true and abiding meaning. For over the years traditions and the false concepts of men bring barnacles upon it as it were. So he is sent to re-interpret the great mystery as he will experience it, and then to give it its everlasting meaning…refresh it as it were.
Tonight we will take the statement that you’ve all heard, “the kingdom of God,” and you think, naturally, of a sphere, of a realm. But here now we turn to scripture, “Unless you are born from above you cannot see the kingdom of God.” You’ll find that in the 3rd chapter of the Book of John (3:3). Then you read it in the 9th chapter of the Book of Mark, and he’s speaking now of seeing God, that you cannot see God, see the kingdom of God. And yet he said, “Truly I say unto you, there are some standing here who will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God has come with power.” And then he adds, “After six days he took Peter, James and John into a high mountain; and was transfigured before them” (9:1,2).
Now, you read it and you think of a man taking three friends into a high mountain on this earth of ours. It doesn’t mean that at all. I tell you what I have experienced, and then I must share with you that which I have…not only my experience but share with you my body. I must give you my eyes and give you my ears and give you my tongue, and give you my body. But in the giving I still keep it and it grows in the giving. In the Spirit I must share it, so I tell you exactly what’s happened to me, and then tell you that there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see what I have told you…until they see the kingdom of God come with power. The kingdom of God is the transformed man, the transfigured man.
What follows on the heels of the statement reveals what is meant in that first verse of the 9th chapter of Mark, “There are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God come with power.” Then he takes them into the high mountain and becomes transfigured before them and they see a transfigured being. This is a metamorphosis, this is a complete change of form that he shows them, and that is the kingdom of God, that is the power. It is not a realm; it’s a power of a transformed body. For wherever it is, that is the kingdom of God, it is power. And he promises that there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see that transformed being who tells you that he was sent, sent by one, and when you see him you see the one who sent him. That’s what he is telling you. Well, who sent you? The one you call God, but I call him Father, and he and I are one. When you see me you will know I am he. And so, the first one to see will be the one who will see me clothed in power; thereafter, you’ll see me clothed just as you saw me clothed in light. You’ll see the regal light…call me a prince or call me the king. Or you will see me clothed in love. But you will see me, just as I told you he is when he sent me. So the kingdom of God is not a realm, it’s the transformed being. It’s a metamorphosis of a being, therefore, a change of form.
